ABOUT MIKE O’REILLY
My name is Mike O’Reilly, and I have dedicated my career to serving the residents of Kamloops. With more than a decade of leadership in nonprofit organizations and seven years as a City Councillor with the City of Kamloops, I have worked hard to build a reputation as a collaborative leader who delivers results. I am married to my amazing wife Erin, and we have two wonderful and active kids who count on us and our community to make good decisions for their future.

Mike’s “Kamloops First” platform is focused on four key priorities that reflect the needs and aspirations of Kamloops over the next 10-15 years:
STREET DISORDER & HOMELESSNESS
Advance a ‘Campus of Care’ model to centralize shelter and support services, improving efficiency, reducing neighbourhood disruption, and delivering better outcomes for vulnerable people.
RECREATION & SPORT HOSTING
Deliver on the ‘Build Kamloops’ program to upgrade facilities, maintain the city’s reputation as Canada’s Tournament Capital, and ensure access to recreation for residents of all ages and abilities.
TRANSPORTATION
& CONNECTIVITY
Invest in critical transportation infrastructure, improve transit reliability, and strengthen connections between neighbourhoods through active transportation options.
SUSTAINABLE TAXES & GROWTH
Maintain a responsible and predictable tax rate while supporting small business, reducing barriers to private industries and leveraging Kamloops’ strategic location to attract investment and foster economic development.
